A Message from Our Founders

Angela Yong Sellers, Julia Wolff, and Avery Wolff
We created the Tour of Tea event with a simple but powerful vision: to build a safe, welcoming space where people can explore new experiences, connect across cultures, and celebrate community — all in a non-alcoholic, inclusive environment.
At Tour of Tea, every sip tells a story — a story of tradition, resilience, and the beauty of sharing our heritage with others. As the event grew, so did our mission. We founded the nonprofit Tour of Tea SC to expand this work across the state.
Through Tour of Tea SC, we spill the tea on all things Asian — offering support to AAPI organizations through better funding opportunities, social media amplification, and broader exposure. We want to ensure that every AAPI voice in South Carolina is celebrated, elevated, and heard.Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
We’re excited to continue building a community where stories are shared, cultures are honored, and new connections are brewed.

Our Vision
At Tour of Tea SC, our vision is a South Carolina where every community feels seen, valued, and connected. We imagine a state where tea is more than a drink — it’s a bridge between cultures, a spark for conversation, and a symbol of belonging.
We envision vibrant, inclusive spaces where Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) voices are uplifted, traditions are honored, and diversity is not only celebrated, but deeply woven into the fabric of everyday life. Through storytelling, shared experiences, and intentional community building, we strive to foster understanding, break down stereotypes, and create lasting connections.
One cup at a time, we are brewing a future rooted in unity, empathy, and cultural exchange — where everyone has a seat at the table.
